1. Who We Are
PLATEMETRICS PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through our platform, websites, and mobile applications (including the Organisation portal, Employee app, Vendor portal, and PM Driver / Logistics driver app). Registered at #42, Koramangala, Bengaluru — 560034, India.
2. Data We Collect
From Organization Administrators:
- Name, work email, phone number, job title
- Company name, GSTIN, billing address
- Login credentials (password stored as bcrypt hash — never in plain text)
From Employees:
- Name, employee ID, badge ID, shift type, division
- Meal booking history, attendance records, feedback submissions
- Phone number (for OTP-based features if enabled)
From Vendors:
- Company name, FSSAI license number, GSTIN
- Contact person name, email, phone
- Bank account details for invoice processing
From Logistics / PM Driver app users (drivers):
- Mobile phone number (for OTP sign-in and delivery verification)
- Vehicle and trip details you enter (for example vehicle number / type) for an active delivery
- Location data (precise / approximate GPS): device location while you actively share location during a delivery trip, including when the app is in the background or a foreground service notification is shown, so the organisation can track live delivery progress
- Device and app technical signals needed to operate tracking (for example permission status, connection errors)
We do not collect location when you are not sharing a trip. Location sharing starts only after you confirm the delivery OTP / trip details and choose to start sharing, and stops when you mark arrival or stop sharing.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Platemetrics platform
- To process food orders, verify deliveries, and generate invoices
- To share live driver location with the relevant organisation (and authorised logistics stakeholders) during an active delivery for ETA, safety, and delivery verification
- To send transactional notifications (OTPs, order confirmations, announcements, location-sharing status)
- To generate analytics and waste reduction reports
- To improve our product and customer support
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- AWS (cloud infrastructure) — under a Data Processing Agreement
- Payment processors — only billing-relevant data
- Within your organisation and delivery context: organisation admins / authorised users can see branch-level order and live or recent delivery location for trips tied to their orders; employees see only their own data where applicable
- Law enforcement when legally required
5. Location Permission (Mobile Apps)
PM Driver (Android) may request:
- Approximate and precise location
- Background location (while a delivery location share is active)
- Foreground service / notifications so you can see that location sharing is running
You can revoke location permission in Android system settings. Revoking permission or stopping sharing ends live updates for that trip.
6. Your Rights
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to data portability (export in JSON/CSV)
- Right to withdraw consent at any time (including stopping location sharing and revoking device permissions)

7. Retention
We retain personal data for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after termination, unless longer retention is required by law. Delivery location points associated with a trip are retained as part of order / logistics records for operational and audit purposes for the same retention period (or shorter if your organisation configures deletion). Anonymized analytics data may be retained longer.
